Da Nang Gets Four New Bus Routes Operated by Futa Bus Lines

Residents and visitors in Da Nang have more travel options with the launch of four new non-subsidized bus routes by Phuong Trang Futa Bus lines Passenger Car JSC (Futa Bus Lines). While 2 of the bus routes are for Quang Nam, the other two routes are intra-city bus routes.

Connecting Da Nang to Quang Nam Province

Two of the new routes connect Da Nang to popular destinations in neighboring Quang Nam Province.

  • Route LK21 travels between Da Nang’s southern bus station and Tam Ky City. This bus route will run operations every 15-25 minutes from 4:45 am to 5:30 pm. The buses will stop at the following bus stations in Da Nang – National Highway 1A – Old National Highway 1 (Nam Phuoc – Dien Phuong – Dien Minh – Vinh Dien) – National Highway 1A – Old Huong An Bridge – National Highway 1A – Tam Ky Bus Station – Phan Boi Chau – Phan Chu Trinh – 954 Phan Chu Trinh (Tam Ky Bridge – Quang Nam).
  • Route LK02 connects Da Nang with the ancient town of Hoi An. The buses will depart every 15-30 minutes from 5:45 am to 6:00 pm. The bus route will be seeing the following bus stations – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology – Road DT607 – Nguyen Tat Thanh – Hoi An bus station – Ly Thuong Kiet – Tran Nhan Tong – Cua Dai – Au Co – Parking area at the Cua Dai inland waterway station.

Intra-City Route Connectivity

The additional routes also improve Da Nang’s internal transportation network.

  • Route No. 21 runs from Da Nang Coach Station to various points within the city, operating every 15-25 minutes from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm.
  • Route No. 2 connects Da Nang Coach Station with the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, with departures every 15-30 minutes from 5:45 am to 6:00 pm.

Comfort and Convenience by Phuong Trang

Futa Bus Lines or Phuong Trang is deploying a fleet of new 26-seater GAZelle buses on these routes. These buses are designed keeping in mind the needs of disabled passengers. The buses feature eco-friendly EURO V engines and modern amenities like surveillance cameras, GPS, WiFi, and LED indicator lights.

Discounted Fares for New Routes

Tickets for the Da Nang-Tam Ky trip cost VND39,000, while the Da Nang-Hoi An trip is VND35,000. Monthly passes are available according to the Danabus bus ticket structure.

The bus trips are discounted for –

  • students of universities colleges and secondary educational institutions (excluding work and study-study systems)
  • employees working in industrial parks
  • pensioners aged 60 and over
  • beneficiaries of social policy
  • the parents, wives, children and relatives of the martyrs
  • disabled people

Enhancing Public Transportation

The Da Nang Traffic Signal and Public Transport Operation Centre Director, Ho Nguyen Quoc Cuong, believes these new routes will significantly improve public transportation in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province. He highlighted the new, comfortable buses and their commitment to sustainability.
